Easter Peeps

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. I love the flowers, the pastel color palette, the candy, and all the pretty Easter dresses. I have fond memories of visiting my grandma in South Carolina for Easter because it always coincided with my Spring Break. She loved to decorate her house for Easter and she always had an Easter tree covered in egg ornaments. She would line up our Easter baskets next to it for a mandatory photo every year. I can’t remember much about how she set the table because I was way more concerned with going through the contents of my Easter basket, but I think she would have approved of this table.

I wanted to create an elegant table that still had a touch of fun (I’m looking at you peep napkin rings). Blue and white is a color combination that I go back to again and again. The two colors look great alone together or you can add in a third color for a little pop – yellow in this case. I used another fabulous tablecloth from Pepper Home and paired it with some seersucker napkins. The peep napkin rings added a playfulness to the table and worked perfectly with my yellow bistro glasses. I wanted to use white plates and this scalloped design from Williams-Sonoma adds interest without competing with the rest of the table. A line of hydrangeas down the table is simple, but elegant. Add in a few votives, jellybeans, and a tiny white rabbit and the look is complete. Cheers!
