I started The Tipsy Tabletop as a creative outlet back in October of 2020. It became my way to keep myself busy when all of my days started to feel the same. I decided to pull out my collections of linens and glassware that had been sitting unused for the better part of a year and put them to use. I started creating table settings for the dinner parties that I wished I was having and I posted them on Instagram. It was fun, really fun! I kept at it and officially started this blog in January of 2021.
An amazing part of starting this blog/Instagram is that it has allowed me the opportunity to meet some very inspiring people who share a passion for creating beautiful tables. Carolyn Bender happens to be one of those people. She has an impeccable eye and styles some of the most beautiful tables I’ve ever seen. She recently started her own online store (check it out here) and it is expertly curated for both tabletop novices and seasoned tabletop enthusiasts. You can shop entire looks or pick up a unique napkin ring or candle to finish off your table. She even carries my go-to cabbage plates! There are so many amazing things to explore…..I love this, this, and these.
I was thrilled when Carolyn recently sent me some pieces from her store. She picked the perfect set of napkins and placemats for me to use all Summer long. I love how versatile they are! I decided to set a playful lunch table using lemons as my inspiration because Carolyn often features them in her tablescapes. I love how the yellow accents make the blue in the placemats and napkins really pop.
