Blue happens to be one of my go to colors. I’m drawn to it in clothing, home decor, and of course tableware. It also happens to be the inspiration for this table. I find that it’s pretty easy to pull a table together once I pick one color to focus on. Mixing patterns and different tones of blue add interest and texture to the table.
I love these blue tulip plates and I think they will be a set that I reach for again and again. How cute would they be for the 4th of July with red and white accessories? The placemats are an easy favorite from Amanda Lindroth. Most of her linen patterns are available to purchase in napkins, placemats, and tablecloths, which takes the guess work out of setting a cohesive table. I skipped the matching napkins this time and went with this cute scalloped set. My trusty Zafferano Perle glasses worked well with the white stemless wine glasses that I picked up from Waiting on Martha Home.
Tulips were an easy choice for the floral arrangement since they mirror the design on the plates and they’re currently easy to find at the grocery store. I picked orange because it would make the blue really pop, but any other color would work just as well. White flowers would keep the whole thing a bit more neutral if that is the look you prefer. Cheers!
